Position Overview:
Unique Caring Opportunities, Inc. is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Providers to deliver exceptional support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, you will assist residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and foster a nurturing and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident Care:

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Provide total personal care, including complex medical procedures and assistance with personal hygiene as needed.

Administer medications as prescribed, adhering to established protocols and procedures.

Monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being and promptly report changes to supervisors.
Daily Living Support:

Prepare meals, assist with feeding, and ensure dietary needs are met.

Engage residents in social activities and outings to enhance their quality of life.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment by cleaning, sanitizing, and performing laundry duties.
Documentation and Compliance:

Accurately document resident care, incident reports, and daily activity logs.

Ensure compliance with all company policies, healthcare regulations, and safety standards.
Team Collaboration:

Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.

Participate in team discussions to review resident care plans and address concerns.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
High School Diploma or GED.
-
Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.

Valid driver’s license.
-
Successful completion of required background checks and drug screening.

Physical ability to lift, perform repetitive tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
Preferred:

Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

CPR and First Aid certification.
-
Certification in Medication Administration.
Physical and Work Environment:

Work is performed in a residential care facility, which may include exposure to infectious diseases and bodily fluids.

The role involves physical activity and requires maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents and staff.
