Director's Assistant & Care Support

Support, uplift, and assist. As a Director's Assistant & Care Support, you’ll work closely with clients to help with personal needs and daily routines making every day more manageable and more meaningful.

Position Overview:

The Director’s Assistant & Care Support is a dual-role position that supports both the administrative operations and direct care functions of the organization. This team member works closely with the Director to help manage day-to-day operations while also stepping in to provide hands-on caregiving as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, compassionate, and comfortable balancing both office responsibilities and client care.​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director with oversight of services including Residential Habilitation, Life Development Skills Levels I & II, and Transportation.

  • Provide direct care and personal assistance to clients during staff shortages, emergencies, or as directed.

  • Coordinate employee schedules and ensure adequate staffing coverage.

  • Support the hiring and orientation process for new staff.

  • Draft and manage professional communications, reports, and documentation.Monitor staff files and ensure compliance with confidentiality and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct audits and ensure accurate records are maintained (including medication and supply inventory).

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of residential homes and office areas.

  • Serve as a point of contact for staff inquiries and ensure company policies and procedures are followed.

  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and in-services.

  • Assist in planning holiday events and facility activities.

  • Coordinate with vendors and manage logistical details for meetings and operations

  • Support data entry, including documentation in systems such as iConnect.

  • Help research, write, and maintain operational policies and procedures.

  • Additional tasks may be assigned to meet organizational needs.

Qualifications:

Education: Associates Degree required

Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including caregiving and/or administrative support

Physical and Work Environment:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Compassionate, professional, and adaptable

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Leadership and problem-solving skill

Note: This position requires completion of all mandatory trainings and certifications relevant to direct care and administrative support. All trainings must be current or completed within the required timeframe upon hire.
